Synthesis: From Reading to Reviewed Knowledge

Synthesis organizes concepts, claims, findings and their relations as project files. This area is under active development; review the proposed content rather than treating extraction as a verified conclusion.

Start with a source

Open material in Library → Collection and request knowledge extraction. Candidates include a supporting quotation. Check that the quotation is present and that it actually supports the proposed interpretation: a matching sentence alone does not establish that.

Review in Home

Open Project → Home → To Confirm to inspect proposals. Accept what you want to keep and reject what is unsupported or irrelevant. Proposed knowledge does not become accepted Synthesis content until you review it.

Revisit in Synthesis

Open Project → Synthesis to browse accepted knowledge by type. Academic projects can represent theories, constructs, variables and other research objects; general projects use a smaller set. The project's enabled types determine what you see.

Relations can express support, challenge or other connections. Follow them back to their source and assess the interpretation yourself. A relation graph is useful once relations exist; research questions can also organize an evidence matrix.

A small first exercise

Use one paper. Ask for its research question, one finding and the exact source passage. Accept one candidate only after checking it, reject an unsupported interpretation, and reopen the accepted object to inspect its source. This is an exercise, not a claim about a completed study.
